We offer "Sign in with Google" as a convenient way to create or access your SBGeeks account. Here is exactly what happens when you use this option:

  • check_circleWhat we receive from Google: Your full name, email address, and Google profile picture. We do not receive your Google password, contacts, Gmail messages, Google Drive files, or any other Google account data.
  • check_circleWhat we store: We store your name, email address, profile picture URL, and a Google user ID (a unique number that identifies your Google account) in our database.
  • check_circleHow it is used: This data is used solely to create and authenticate your SBGeeks account. It is not used for advertising or shared with any other third party.
  • check_circleExisting account linking: If you already have a SBGeeks account with the same email address, signing in with Google will link to that existing account automatically.
  • check_circleRevoking access: You can revoke SBGeeks' access to your Google account at any time by visiting myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access does not delete your SBGeeks account.

Google's handling of your data during authentication is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review it.

We use cookies to maintain your login session and remember your preferences. When you sign in (including via Google), a secure session cookie is stored in your browser to keep you logged in. You can set your browser to refuse all or some cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, you will not be able to stay logged in. We also use Google Analytics to understand site usage patterns. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
